The Burleson
Area Chamber of Commerce is encouraging its members
to produce websites and promote their businesses on the internet.
According to Greg Solomon, president and CEO of
the BACC, this is an area that the Chamber wants to focus on in
2004. New chamber member, VR Barnett Web Services, is working closely
with the Chamber to provide affordable local website hosting solutions
and is donating a portion of the monthly hosting fees for all members
who host a new website or transfer hosting to vrbwebs.com. Proceeds
donated to the Burleson Chamber of Commerce will help fund special
projects sponsored by the Burleson Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber in Burleson has become an innovative leader in its
industry. The BACC has been recognized by the ACCE
(American
Chamber of Commerce Executives) and has received national
awards due to rapid growth and service excellence over the past
few years. BACC accepted the honor of 1st Runner-Up
in the Nation, excelling for the second time in 5 categories. In
2001, they qualified in the TOP 10 for National Chamber
of the Year. The BACC won the National
Chamber of the Year Award of Excellence again in 2002-2003!
Membership has fluctuated slightly over the past twenty-one years,
but one thing is certain; membership is on the rise. And the BACC
boasts a membership retention rate of a whopping 98%!
They are obviously doing a lot of things right!
